Web Tracing Framework - New Browser Extension
The Web Tracing Framework is a set of libraries, tools, and scripts aimed at web developers trying to write large, performance-sensitive Javascript applications. It provides users with a set of libraries, tools, and scripts that aim to make Javascript jank-free at 60fps. The built-in development tools of browsers have very limited functionality when it comes to making it easy to write applications that are guaranteed to be 60fps. The Web Tracing Framework consists of three main tools. The first is Chrome Tracing, a tool that is natively integrated into Chrome and is therefore available in the browser. The second is Chrome V8 Tracing, which is a native Chrome extension that can be installed to your pages.
As soon as you install the extension, you will have access to an option in the developer console to enable tracing on your pages. Then, you can start recording performance data in your application.
